The Army Law College (ALC) is a residential institute established since July 2018 by the Indian Army under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) at Kanhe near Pune. Approval of Govt of Maharashtra and affiliation with the renowned Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has been obtained in March 2018. Approval of affiliation by Bar Council of India is under process for commencement of course in July 2018.
The ALC, Kanhe is established on property gifted by Radha Kaliandas Daryanani Charitable Trust (RKDCT). The property consist of 12 existing buildings on approx Five Acres of land. The location of ALC is at vill Kanhe, on old Pune-Mumbai NH approx 45 KM from Pune and 20 KM short of Lonavala. The location is serene and ideal for education institute. ALC is well connected by train (local station approx 1.5 KM) and road (Mumbai-Pune Highway approx 500 mtrs).
The college is being developed in three phases. The phase I includes renovation of existing building to accommodate students for first two years. The second phase will come up with complete infrastructure of Army Law College to incl Administrative and academic blocks, boys and girls hostel accommodations, indoor and out door recreational area. The final phase will have residential area for the staff of the ALC.
